Smoky, chocolatey nose, with some coffee & vanilla. Medium sweet with a well-balanced bitterness, slight saltiness. Subtle cherry-raisin notes. Flavors soften and blend as it warms up and breathes. Medium-full, oily-creamy mouth feel. Bitter, slightly astringent finish, but with no harshness. Many flavor notes, but well blended. Excellent sipping beer, and at 8.5% not over-alcohilic.

(Caldera Mogli) Bottle 650 ml at home, white wax, served into a snifter, ABV 8.5% Dark brown colour on the body, almost totally black. Head on top is thick, a little bit lower than one finger, dark beige in colour. Quite good retention. Plenty of milky chocolate on the aroma, vanilla, light bourbon. Taste follows, lots of vanilla, chocolate, cocoa, light bourbon which Id like more pronounced, light oak every now and then. Medium to thick bod, carbonation on the right levels, smooth on the palare and very drinkable. Very good, doesnt justify the premium price though.

Bottle... This beer rocks!... Pours clear and dark brown with a small, mushroom-colored head. Decent retention. The aroma is a delight - milk chocolate and vanilla with undercurrents of hazelnuts, cola nuts and sassafras root. Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and tingly carbonation. The flavor is very roasty and bitter, but also features a fantastic marriage of simmered chocolate milk and dark, luxuriant chocolate crme. Trends a little too bitter and carbonic for my taste, but damn this lives up to the billing!

Bottle shared with friends at a weekend tasting. Thick dark brown pour. Aroma dominated by milk chocolate, with notes of vanilla, oak, bourbon. The taste follows the same notes, very heavy on the chocolate. Excellent beer.

Middling dark brown, murky enough and a decent white ringed head. Nose is rich wholewheat and milky white and dark choc bitter. Initial taste is a lean bourbon biscuit and rich comforting choc. Bit too sweet but does the job and balances out on the finish. Soft carbonation and a polished mouthfeel.
