Bomber from 2014 I think. Dark, almost black color. Beige head with short retention. Strong aroma of sweet chocolate, with some vanilla, light wood. Retronasal it’s sweet, chocolate, light booze (bourbon perhaps). Flavor is rather sweet, chocolate-y. Not too strong alcohol feel, though it is warming a bit. Good body, medium to full. Finishes with cocoa, light roast. Good desert beer. corby112 (2804) - philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - NOV 22, 2015
Pours a dark chestnut brown color that appears pitch black and opaque in the glass with a two finger beige head that quickly settles into a thick, lasting ring. Streaks of soapy lacing left behind.
Slightly smokey roasted dark malt aroma with subtle oak presence that’s nicely integrated into the other notes. Light char/toothpick but not harsh or overpowering. No spirit so must be virgin oak or oak chips. Nice roast with light coffee bean, toasted peanut and dark chxoolate. Subtle fudge/dessert-like sweetness.
Fuller end of medium body with subtle oak presence countered by a well balanced, complex malt bill. Earthy oak and faint dry toothpick character but it’s not harsh or overwhelming. Decent amount of roast with gourmet coffee bean, oatmeal, bittersweet dark chocolate and roasted nuts. The roasted nut presence is pretty strong giving off an almost peanut butter flavor. Kind of reminds me of Funky Buddha’s Don’t Tell Reese. Sweet lighter malts provide some needed balance with hints of caramel, toffee, fudge and flourless chocolate cake. Bitterness lingering in the finish. Could use a touch more sweetness but overall this beer has really nice balance of oak, roast and sweet malt. Bulk_Carrier (6065) - Vermont, USA - NOV 20, 2015
This was poured into a snifter.
The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with a one finger slim finger’s worth of tan head. The head must have stuck around for a good minute before gently dieing. Light lacing ran here and there nicely.
The smell started off with a sweet to roasty cocoa beans with an eloquent blend of the coffee to come in and balance. As it warms, some vanilla comes out to balance.
The taste was mainly sweet with the vanilla coming across with more of a marshmallow flavor and developing into the roasty and sweetness of the beer. A light sweet cocoa to coffee to vanilla aftertaste runs into the aftertaste and finish.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a nice sipping quality to it. Carbonation ran fairly light allowing the roast and sweetness to hit my tongue in all of the right spots.
Overall, I’d say this was a really nice imperialized porter. Thanks Amber. rouhlas (3616) - GREECE - NOV 8, 2015

(bottle, many thanks to alkoholikarin!) deep brown colour with a frothy dark beige head. aroma of brown sugar, cherry stones and dark chocolate, with lots of sugar icing, juicy fermented apricots, fudge and moist wood. flavour is mostly the same, lots of brown sugar, bran flakes and dark chocolate, slightly sweet, with some faint hints of herbal hops, more moist wood and a light roasted-bitter finish. full-bodied with soft carbonation. quality stuff! laiti (8469) - Tampere, FINLAND - OCT 23, 2015

Aroma is sweet and nice with lots of vanilla. Also licorice and mild bourbon tones. Flavour has strong vanilla, some coffee, bourbon and woody tones. Also mild cardboard-ish tones, perhaps a bit too old? Still, quite nice stuff.
