Draft. Aroma of LOTS of chocolate. Flavors of chocolate, some red wine, and finally some woodiness that seems to lift all of the beer?s sweetness off of the palate. Not super-complicated, but super good. baraciisch (3234) - California, USA - MAR 1, 2015
Been wanting to try this for a while... Clear dark brown in color... Aroma of milk chocolate... Flavor is vanilla, chocolate and more chocolate... Light roasted malt notes... Dark fruits on finish... Really good, can't taste much bourbon

Bottle from AJ’s in Rochester New York. Pours a midnight black / brown, tan head that goes Dow to a thin layer and some small lace spots. Nose is creamy sod sweetness, vanilla maybe, lactose maybe. Tastes really sweet, touch of malt, milk chocolate. A little bitter, really smooth. Franksv6 (937) - Tiel, NETHERLANDS - FEB 20, 2015
Unclear black colored beer white a small cremey head. Taste is wood, oak, chocolade, nice bitter, coffee, caramel and herbs. Good long afthertaste. Nice one. Alphadelic (2237) - Portland, Oregon, USA - FEB 3, 2015
Had this one for almost a year now, picked it up at the brewery on a road-trip. The nose is one of the best chocolate aromas around, Southern Tiery almost with a little touch of booziness underneath. In the mouth it is rich and heavy wth a beautiful chocolate/vanilla flavor mingled with robust roast malts and hints of coffee. I am really impressed by this beer. Like a fantastic milkshake.

On tap at Blue Monk in Buffalo, NY. Nice deep dark pour. Heavy on the chocolate, very much so. Sweet but not killer. Didn’t get a lot of the bourbon and oak, just a lot of nice chocolate. Would have again. tmongoose (2504) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - JAN 29, 2015
UPDATED: JAN 30, 2015 Bomber shared. Poured a medium to dark brown withimal off white head. The aroma besides roasted malts was chocolate malt. The flavor was chocolate malt a roasted mslts. Awesome flavor I coukd drink this all night long. After it really warmed up you could get a nice mellow alcohol burn. Overall awesome beer with great depth and flavor. Bottle: The aroma consists of chocolate, caramel, vanilla, faint bourbon, and oak. It pours a dark brown with a faint orange highlights and a small beige head that fades to a minimal film outlined by a fine ring. The flavor starts with moderate milk chocolate and sweet caramel. The finish has roasted malt, vanilla, light black coffee, and light oak. I don’t much actual bourbon. It’s light-medium bodied with mild carbonation.
Bottle (22oz $17): dark brown, but clear. One finger tan head. Aroma mostly chocolate. Taste is bitter sweet chocolate with a mild coffe bitterness in the end. Nice desert beer.
