On draught at Bailey’s Taproom. Milk chocolate aroma. Subtle coconut mixes well with the chocolate notes.

Medium brown color. Nose of chocolate and coconut with some sourness. Taste is more astringent and sour than what I would imagined. I think/hope there was some issues with the beer, as it wasn't impressive.

8/IX/17 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle @ home with Alengrin - BB: n/a (2017-1486) Thanks to Alengrin for sharing the can!

Clear dark reddish brown beer, big creamy beige head, pretty stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: soft roast, some chocolate, quite some coffee. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: bit sourish start, lots of coconut at start, pretty bitter, some dried fruits, bit infected? Acidic touch. Aftertaste: vanilla notes, bit sweet, coconut touch, some cherries caramel. Decent stuff, but not sure if the acidity is intended.

Bottle from BevMo! in Redwood City, CA. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, cocoa, some vanilla. Taste is dry cocoa, some tangy dark chocolate, fizzy and dry chocolate soda on the finish. Decent flavors but really wish this wasn't so carbonated and dry. Wanted more resin-y twang.

Porter by Caldera with toasted coconut chips and chocolate. Creamy, pale yellowish beige, lightly lacing, medium thick head, deep ruddy bronze-brown colour, blackish but still completely translucent, with a warm coppery tinge. Aroma indeed reveals some toasted coconut - though not quite as much as I was expecting or hoping for (I love it), embedded in impressions of hazelnut shells, black bitter chocolate, dried figs, 'natural' haemoglobin-like iron, liquorice candy, vanilla beans, tea, dried apple peel. Sweet onset, candied date, immediately countered by a sourish undercurrent, softish carbo, smooth oily mouthfeel, slick but a tad thinnish for a 6+% ABV beer perhaps. Hazelnutty and peanutty malt bittersweet body with thin metallic edges, thin layer of bittering black chocolate towards the end, toasted coconut effect again noticeable but relatively subtle - even more so than in the nose, herbal tea-ish hop bitter accent, coffeeish roasted bitter touch all the way at the back. Decent like all Calderas - but also like other Calderas, this could have been a bit more expressive and outspoken for me, especially the coconut element.

650ml bottle from Total Wine in Paramus, NJ. Pours an almost black with a light beige head. Aroma has sweet caramel, marshmallow, brown sugar, sweet coconut. Taste is of sweet malts. Marshmallow. Caramel. Some brown sugar. Light cream. The marshmallow is a much bigger player than the coconut. More than medium bodied. There is some alcohol presence. The blend is fine. Finishes fairly sweet. Interesting blend with the caramel & marshmallow. 13.6

Bomber. Rich chocolate aroma with notes of toasted coconut, roasted malt and vanilla. Pours dark brown with a large mocha brown head that has excellent retention and good lacing. Starts with rich chocolate and roasted malt flavors that has a silky smooth mouthfeel and full body. Finishes impeccably smooth with toasted coconut and vanilla flavors. Wonderful porter!

650ml bottle. Darkest brown colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Roasty dark malty, slightly chocolately aroma, notes of coconut, a touch of cocoa. Taste is slightly sweet dark malty, slightly chocolately, minimally roasty, minimally dry notes of coconut, some cocoa. Well balanced, not overdone.
