Cask-conditioned at the Commercial Rooms, Bristol, November 2012. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head. Tangerine fruit with some caramel, a touch of sherbet and moderately bitter finish. Ok.

Festival ale, cask, half-pint at JDWs Pommelers Rest. Clear copper coloured body. Bubbly ring to the rim of the surface. Spotty lacing. Malt-fruity nose. Cask handpull, The Felix (JDW), Nuneaton, 13/11/12. Draped bronze. Weak caramel and ground fennel seed aroma. Aniseed, chlorine, chewed pencil and toffee flavours. Standard issue dull brown bitter.

From cask at The Hengler’s Circus. Pours clear and golden deep amber with a small white head. Aroma is toasted malty and light fruity. Sweet, toasted malty, fruity and light bitter. Dry and crisp hoppy into a toasted malty finish.
