Cask, George Hotel, Youlgreave. Golden brown with a white foam. Aromas are nutty with weetabix and mild lemon. Hints of lime with some oatiness. Flavours are sweet, light malts with earthy nuttiness and a yeasty finish. A decent session brew.

Cask @ Clockwork Beer Co. Amber brown colour, not much head. Mild caramel malt aroma. Grassy malt flavour with bitter aftertaste. Watery. Nothing special. BeerCast_Rich (1906) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 21, 2012
[cask at Bert’s Bar, Edinburgh] Toffee coloured pour with a thin white head. Aroma of the same, with some sweet caramel and stale biscuits. On the taste, the first few sips were very pleasant – quite dry with the biscuity edge, but after a while the sweetness came out and the lack of body became the most noticeable factor. Tough to penalise them for that, as that was the intention. I’m not sure I’d have it again - but I can appreciate what the Caley are trying to do here FatPhil (16345) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - SEP 28, 2012

Dark orange, small loose head. Nasty chemical aroma. Even worse chemical taste. Probably pipe cleaning fluids. Finish rough.Probably the fault of the pub, but fuck Heineken, I don’t care for a rerate.
Cask at The Malt & Hops. Amber with a bubbly white head, Aroma of toffee malt. Flavour is very weak. Malt + water. Sink job.

On tap @ Berts Bar, Edinburgh. Pours dark amber with a decent creamy head. The nose is a bit faint, in fact somewhat like a normal Caley beer but watered down. So, we’re talking malt and toffee. The taste has more of the same, though for a change it doesn’t have the expected oxidised astringent malt note on the end. It’s less offensive than usual, though maybe that’s because there’s less of it - the palate is light, the texture is light and it could just be a malt liquor I suppose. Overall, have had worse! By the courtesy of mr_h, hand-pulled cask ale, half pint at Pot Still. Gimmick related to the alcohol taxation in the UK. Creamy, white head, clear amber body. Mild smell of caramel malts and the same goes for the taste profile. Easy to drink, and diluted as expected (Glasgow, 12.04.2012). dogbomb (1229) - ENGLAND - APR 21, 2012
Cask. Golden with a creamy head. Not much nose beyond some malt. Malty body. Nice and light and. Wry drinkable, but not much excitement. A bit of biscuit and oat. cgarvieuk (24788) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - APR 10, 2012
