Cask at Reverie. Better on cask than bottle, on the sweet side of bitters, but not too bad. Okay. dogbomb (1217) - ENGLAND - MAY 31, 2013
Cask. Dark rusty brown with a thick offwhite head. Smells of raisins and malt. Tastes of raisins, plums, pear and sweet malts. Finish is muted, but fruity. Very nice.

Summer 2011, Cask. Pours dark copper with a medium head. Aroma toffee, caramel. Light and quite typical. DandyLion (518) - Leicester, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 11, 2013
Cask at the Clarendon, Leicester. Nice dark mahogany colour with quickly dissipated head. Smells malty, slight spicy. Nice thick mouthfeel but disappointing taste- very malty but next to no bitterness. I suppose that's the style but a little hoppiness would be nice.

[cask at the Caledonian Brewery, Edinburgh] Clear deep mahogany brown, decent white head. Aroma of sweet toffee, caramel, burnt sugar. The initial taste is very similar, before a sweet, malty flavour appears before the finish
