Rastacouere (6174) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - SEP 21, 2007
Clear light orange. Gentle 1cm off-white head. Grainy, sugary, pear-like and cerealic ale with toasted biscuits and fruity nuances. A bit sticky in its finish. Unconvincing low carbonation leaves the stickiness queen while mildly rooty earthiness tries to bring a sense of hopeless balance. Simple for a sweet ale.

Cask at Tennents Bar, Glasgow. An amber beer with a dense orange head. The aroma is sweet malty with light notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, leading to a slightly bitter finish. A somewhat boring beer.

A Mes rate: Gravicask at GBBF. Amberish colour with a reasonable off white head. Standard bitter fayre but with lashings of caramel. Almost too much. Sticky finish that eventually turns bitter.

downender (8039) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2007
Cask-conditioned at the Hope & Anchor, Bristol 11/8/07. Copper coloured with a slight, off-white head that left a lot of lacing. Aroma of sweet malt and red fruit. Flavour was also sweet, almost caramelised with a bitter finish that prevented it becoming cloying. Good.
