Real good flavor and finish. Look of a dark with a smooth mouth feel. Good Scottish beer.

Bottle as Edinburgh Castle. A mid amber coloured pour with a lasting greyish white head. Aroma is toffee, twiggy malts, mild jam fruits, toasted malts. Drank a ton of this stuff back when I was in university. Reddish brown pour, thin head. Caramel, faint dark fruit in the aroma, malty. Toffee up front, malty, a bit bready, a little bit smoky. Watery body, sweet finish. Little incentive to have it again.

UPDATED: FEB 22, 2017 (cask) hazy deep amber colour with a creamy light-beige head. aroma of heavy bread dough and floral hops, with lots of yeast, some white bread and grain. flavour is mostly grainy pale malts and herbal hops, quite yeasty, with a light-bitter earthy finish. medium-bodied with soft carbonation.
