Sweet smelling. Sharp cherry hit with a grainy malt flavour then lots of milk chocolate. Fairly clever I thought. imdownthepub (14467) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 29, 2008
Cask conditioned at a Wetherspoons. Dark brown with slight head. Dark roasted malts, quite mild in character, with a dose of caramel, toffee and really quite sweetish. Smooth with hints of hops. It’s ok but not something I could go back to. MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2008
A Mes rate: Cask at Baker Street ’Sporks.cgarvieuk (24230) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - MAR 19, 2008
Very dark amber brown with a thin white film. Big chocolate malt with some slight hoppage and tobacco. Chocolate is almost mocha and actually very pleasant. Dry chocolate finish. Not too bad but not something I could drink more than a pint of.
Cask at St. Vincents Edinburgh ... Deep red brown ... light sweet toffee malt , light fruity and hop dominated ... no chocolate. DonMagi (5593) - bantervile, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - MAR 7, 2008
Cask in Counting house. Aroma is chocolate and roasty malts, quite a bit of typically caledonian grassy hop. Taste is similar, nicely malty and a decent effort from caledonian, but perhaps stay off the grassy hop.
