Great colour on the beer, spicy hops that seemed a bit off, flavour was very a bit like wet wood, no aromas and I barely could finish it.

Pint from cask. I found the taste to be a bit caramel and biscuity. Sweet malts and not a patch on the fruity IPAs currently available from small breweries. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Cask. Gold in colour. Hoppy, lemon-citrus bitter. Some caramel malt. Good hop/malt balance. Nice bitterness. Long dry bitter finish. Sessionable. OK. (2008)

On tap in an Edinburgh pub. Aroma of gentle fruit, biscuit, some herbal notes. Appearance: pale, slightly hazy, good white head with ok retention. Taste is low bitter and low sweet, more biscuit and low fruitiness, some dough. light body, slick feel, soft carbonation, finish is medium long and barely leaves any bitterness. Overall a very gentle "IPA" that is less hoppy and less bitter than most of todays pale ales. The beer is a bit watery but probably does appeal to a wide audience.

Draft at the Marquis of Wellington. Listed as I P S, in RB ad a bittersweet, smells like vinegar. Taste improved it, only slightly. If tasting this blind, I would have guessed a sour gone wrong. Cidery, tart, sour. What were they thinking.

From a cask at the Drovers Inn in the Scottish Highlands. Golden body with excellent clarity and lacing with a terrific, creamy head. Mild aroma dominated by sweet malts. Hops slightly dominate the malts in the mildly bitter flavor. Excellent soft mouthfeel.

Cask tasted at the Ensign Ewart, Edinburgh on the August 10th 2016. Golden to amber colour with a thick white head. Aroma of apples, light malty and unripe fruit. Apple taste, sour notes, very light hoppy. Flat carbonation and light aftertaste. Next one please!

Cask HP at The Crosse Keys London as Caledonian Deuchars IPA, 3.8%. Light amber orange, still and clear with a small ring of white foam. Aroma is thin apple, papery, touch of soap, lemonade shandy. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste is apple, soft malt, white bread and toasted plain crumpet, some shandy, musty damp flannel finish. Just ok. Could drink pints reluctantly.
