Cask (handpump) @ The Standing Order (JDW), 62-66 George St, Edinburgh, Scotland EH2 2LR.

Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, pepper, orange - mandarin. Flavor is moderate sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average duration, peppery, passion fruit notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120423]

Half finger, white head, pale golden body. Strong orange aroma, short yeast taste upfront with a evolving orange element which develops into a oaty finish. Not a bad beer!

[on cask in Edinburgh] Interesting spice aroma that is a bit black pepper-like. Clear, dark straw under a lasting, lacy white cover. Strangely peppery flavour that is slightly phenolic and sour, like green beer. Almost clean finish, if a bit phenolic, light body, low carbonation.

kiwianer (3428) - Otorohanga, NEW ZEALAND - AUG 12, 2012
The head is good. It smells citrus and other fruits. The taste is citrus, creamy, mild, a bit flat but different fruity. Overall medium. 8/7/8/7/-/8

On tap @ the Haymarket. Pours a honey colour with a decent head. The nose has citrus and some grassiness. The taste has white chocolate and oranges. The palate is medium bodied with a good texture but too sweet and cloying on the end. Overall, lacks drinkability because of the sweetness.

Cask. The Old White Swan, York. Medium white head. Amber body. Orange, coriander, spice, hops, caramel. Bittersweet. Dry finish. Interesting but kind of shit at the same time. I put off ordering a pint of this until it was the only tick left at the bar.

Rune (13348) - Tromsø, NORWAY - MAY 5, 2012
Half, cask at Sir Walter Scott, airside, Edinburgh airport. Golden body, low white head with dimples. Malt-fruity aroma. Oranges and apples in flavour mixed with semi-sweet malts. Resin-like bitterness to the aftertaste. Refreshing drink before the flight back to Norway, early on Sunday 15.04.2012.

Cask conditioned handpump Victoria Leeds. A golden beer with a white head. Very peppery in the mouth. Lots of white pepper. An odd lightly spicy nose. Seems like an interesting taske on a Belgian Wit which doesn;t quite work. Having said that it’s tasty enough and quite endearing.

2.4
jackl (8284) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - APR 22, 2012
Cask @ The Pakenham Arms. Slightly cloudy light amber color with a small head. The nose is light grains, some syrup. There’s a sweet but slightly artificial orange creamsicle presence on the nose too. Some caramelised carrot. The taste is spicy and sweet ginger powder, light fruits. A bit buttery. The condition isn’t fantastic on this beer. Light body, low carb. Overall, not really my thing.
