A great pint. Typical of the style expected from caledonian brewery. His a smooth taste with a malt and caramel taste.
Good in a bottle would be great on tap. DruncanVeasey (8225) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JUN 18, 2012
Bottle round The Jenners limbering up for the Sweden game. Cocoa-dusted plum, Imperial Leather and fig aroma. Deep coppery bronze with a well-behaved lacing foam. Deep Scottish maltiness; raisins, milk chocolate, fig again.Touches of almond with Hobnob afters. Mouth-filling. Bit of a treat. Maybe I’ve been on the Baltic pale lagers too long.

500 ml bottle poured into an outsize tulip. Dark amber with a thin white head.Juicy plum and cinder toffee aroma. Fruit and nut toffee, red berries, and spicy almond flavours. Gentle carbonation, and a rounded bitter finish. Quite assertive for a 4% bitter. Enjoyable. scotty (1199) - SCOTLAND - MAY 8, 2014
Bottle from B&M. Copper/gold in colour with a thin, but lasting white head, leaving a good set of rings down the glass. Enjoyable ale to drink. Reminded me of Ringwood Best, more malt than hops. Nice sessionable ale at 4%

500ml Bottle from Home Bargains:saxo (18208) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - APR 6, 2013
Mild fruit notes and a hint of an almost metallic aroma mixed with some caramel and some sweet malts.
Reddish amber colour with a large, two-fingers tall head that is very creamy and thick looking as well as dome shaped.
Light caramel malts, some sweetness and a few earthy flavours along with a touch of fruit and a biscuit taste following this. This one taste much like I was expecting but is one that tastes pretty good.
Quite light bodied and fairly smooth with moderate bitterness and a crisp, sort of dry finish that goes down well and would make an excellent session beer.
Standard tasting bitter with nothing your not expecting but it is a nice one in spite of this. The body is a little light but it is very flavoursome, especially for the relatively moderate abv. and light body.
Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aorma and taste are caramel, fruits, notes of cocoa, malt and hops. Nice dry and sweet finish. GSJim (1) - - AUG 9, 2013 does not count
Floral aroma is very pleasant. Fairly full flavour and good finish. Easy drinking session beer.
