Cask at the Lord Northbrook, Lee. Gold pour with a white head. Citrus and light malt nose. Lots of bitter citrus fruit in the flavour with slight acidic edge. Malt laden finish. Giochaurand (532) - FINLAND - MAR 13, 2015
Draught. Pours clear golden with medium creamy head. Aroma is malts and english. Palate is soft malty with a hint of bitterness. A bit too watery aftertaste. CraftBeerNick (2476) - London Town, Greater London, ENGLAND - MAR 12, 2015

Cask. Golden colour, not too much head. Aroma is fruity, floral, mild saltwater and suplhur along with some resin and that’s about it- Flavour is fruity, floral, citrusy and quite bready to it. Mild sulphury notes in the flavour too. mabel (9246) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 18, 2014

Cask. Pours golden, nose is light citrus, sweet toffee, taste is quite similar. jercraigs (10303) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 18, 2014
2014-07-01. Lightly hazy dark yellow body nice creamy white head and lace. 3+ Aroma is mild, light pale malt. Flavour fairly mild, lightly bitter throughout, lemony touches. Smooth average to light bodied palate seems to suit it but just a touch more carbonation would suit me. Milder than my preference but refreshingly quaffable after a walk. Cask as Golden XPA at The Merchant Bar, Portree.allmyvinyl (10508) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 12, 2014
"What brewery makes the Golden?"
"These are cask ales!"
"Yes, thanks. What *brewery* makes the Golden?"
"This one is made on Skye and this one is from a brewery in Edinburgh."
(Pause...) "... A pint of the Golden please."
Cask at The Standing Order. Pours clear pale gold, thin white head. Light citrus aromas, lemon, bread. Taste is more of the same. Didn’t expect much, but was OK. AshtonMcCobb (6513) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUN 10, 2014
On cask at the Standing Order.
Appearance - lemon golden with a proportionate head.
Nose - lemon and flowers.
Taste - custard and lemon meringue pie.
Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish.
Overall -one of Caledonian ’ s better efforts. weaselkenievil (1608) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2014
Sat in The Leather Smithy, Sutton. Lovely surroundings, not sure about the beer. Looks gold with a thin bright white head. Aroma is fruity hops, some pine, caramel, not bad. Flavour is your usual fruity hops and caramel, just a bit boring for me.
