weaselkenievil (1609) - Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAY 4, 2014
Sat in The Leather Smithy, Sutton. Lovely surroundings, not sure about the beer. Looks gold with a thin bright white head. Aroma is fruity hops, some pine, caramel, not bad. Flavour is your usual fruity hops and caramel, just a bit boring for me.

Oakes (19010) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 18, 2014
Light straw colour, slightly spicy hop. Light, vaguely fruity with slightly juicy hop finish.

gegwilson (3806) - North Yorkshire, ENGLAND - MAR 14, 2014
Cask in the Mill, Stokesley. Golden with a white head. A bit more flavoursome than I was expecting. Citrusy at first before a little caramel malt on the finish. Drinkable, bit not one to seek out.

Mr_Pink_152 (5633) - Lincoln, Lincolnshire, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2014
Cask at Stone Loach Market Deeping. Light copper colour, with fine white head. Fairly acidic taste, but the beer probably wasn’t at its best.

wheresthepath (2405) - Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 30, 2014
Cask at the Hour Glass, High Wycombe. Pours a vivid clear gold with a thick white head. Noticeable hops up front were a surprise - floral notes followed by a lively, fresh citrus flavour - but there’s a creamy mouthfeel, giving a beer that is at the same time crisp and refreshing yet smooth and easy-drinking. Honey lingers for a while afterwards. Pleasantly surprised by this one; it’s a really good UK-style golden ale that doesn’t pander to the APA style.

dynamiteninja (1893) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - OCT 14, 2013
Cask conditioned at the Town Hall Hotel, Richmond, Yorks. Been avoiding this presumed mediocrity for a while, but was pleasantly surprised. Lots of zesty hops, citrus and tangerine. Some American, some British. Tangy and bitter. Dry finish.

3.3
Quack-Duck (9534) - Down South, GERMANY - OCT 13, 2013
draught at the anchor Sidmouth. Hazyb golden colour, mid-sized white head. Malty base, pleasantly hopy with a citrusy touch.

Scopey (15877) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2013
Cask at GBBF 2013. It pours clear golden yellow with a small white head. The nose is hay, farmyard, light sulphur and grainy. The taste is smooth, tangy citrus, lemon, lime, grapefruit, grainy, earth, dough and metallic edge with a dry finish. Very so-so...

Theydon_Bois (20879) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JUL 27, 2013
Cask at the Four Horseshoes, Chobham, 27/07/13. Badged as ’Golden XPA’.
Clear golden with a moderately sized white head that retains well.
Nose is orange sherbet, floral hops, summer fruits.
Taste comprises light hops, vanilla essence, perfumed notes.
Medium bodied, soft carbonation, light bitterness in the finish.
Pleasant enough and inoffensive GB.

Best golden ale I’ve ever had - 4.3 is a good strength.
Perfectly balanced hops and malt finish
