Cask by handpump at The Three Judges, Glasgow - clear golden, bubbly white head, musty vegetable aroma and flavour, no strong flavours, not to my taste

tombyars (1821) - Saltcoats, SCOTLAND - OCT 14, 2011
Tasted this in The Esquire House, Glasgow (JDW) in August 2006. Cask, handpump dispense. Clean fresh floral notes long in the nose. Zesty refreshing mouthfeel and good lacing. Pale biscuit malts in the base with citric fruit notes of lemon, grapefruit, lime and goosberry. Dusty floral hops combine well with the fruity malt to give a juicy aftertaste. Finish has a citric zest of grapefruit. A pleasant summer session blond ale.

Cask at the Guildford Arms, Edinburgh. Golden color with a slight copper tint. Malty aroma with chocolate and a bit of hops. Biscuity, malty flavor, some fruit, ok hopping. Slightly earthy, caramel. Dry, long-lasting, hoppy finish. Good stuff.

At the bierkoning in Amsterdam, golden, medium head, lots of citrus like lime and grapefruit, very little hops and grain.

scotty (1241) - SCOTLAND - AUG 18, 2009
Hazy gold with a tight white head. Slight aroma of citrus fruit, with a hint of malt on the finish, that was about it! Not one of Caledonians better beers, cask from my local Spoons.

Mid gold, flat. Raw grain aroma. Immediate ginger in the mouth. Little to no carbonation. Finish is sweet, hoppy, and gingery. Simple but very tasty. Needs some carbonation though.

Very sweet sugar puffs aroma. Very greene king-like harsh nettley sulfurous taste. Sweet body. Are you sure this isn’t Greene King? Corny.
