mountainforest (131) - Mississippi, USA - JUN 18, 2007
Tasted at the 2007 Beer Festival in Edinburgh Scotland. Amber colour. Floral hop. Refreshing, bitter-sweet and delightfully hoppy.

TheGrandMaster (2335) - Auckland, NEW ZEALAND - JUN 16, 2007
Half pint pulled at the (JDW) Railway, a clear amber/gold with a foamy off-white head. A good flowery malt aroma with some stone fruit. Dry and grainy palate, malt dominating, with a bitter finish. Got smoother and brought out some fruit through the glass.

Strange citrus and toasted malt aroma. Powerfull hops. A combination that is not to my personal liking. I much prefer their 80/ and Deucers. A queer combo of the two beers. Rubbish.

downender (9089) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - MAY 12, 2007
Cask conditioned at the Star, Bath 11/5/07. Golden coloured with slight white head. The most prominent thing about XPA was the aroma, which was huge. This was buttery with a hint of caramel, and reminded me of some Franconian kellerbiers. The flavour was more subdued, with citrussy hops and a malty finish. Unusual and very good.

imdownthepub (15749) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 20, 2007
Cask conditioned at The Bell, Banbury, Oxon. Gold with white head. I thought that this was a little over the top, flavourwise. There is a strong apricot and citric lemon flavour throughout, very hoppy with quite a thin base. There is a little bitterness later on with a crisp finish.

thebeertourist (5188) - Oslo, NORWAY - APR 13, 2007
[email protected] Guildford Arms, Edinburgh. Clear amber colour, stable and creamy head. Nice fruity hoppiness. Good raisins and toffee flavours. Well-balanced. Good for a quality-filled session.

UPDATED: JUL 4, 2007 Pale golden ale, with a fruity nose, fruity hoppyness with a light bitter linger, nicly balanced... again smithies ale house edinburgh ... slightly clowded yellow ... light fruity citric hop ... very fruity quite well balanced ... little sharp ... lots of juicyness.

Ungstrup (39293) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - FEB 25, 2007
Cask at Charlie’s Bar, Copenhagen. A golden beer with a thin light orange head. The aroma is sweet malty a bit on the light side. The flavor is sweet and rather malty with light notes of caramel, leading to a lightly bitter end. A bit boring.

Spiesy (2337) - Sydney, Greater London, AUSTRALIA - DEC 28, 2006
Cask Conditioned, at the Black Jug, Horsham, UK. Absolutely lovely pint. Golden full bodied beer, juicy beige head. Slowish to settle, the beer just looked a peach from the get-go. Rich hoppy aroma, back up by deep, fullbodied hoppy flavour. Queue up for it if you see it about.
