SilkTork (5945) - Southampton, United Kingdom, Hampshire, ENGLAND - NOV 24, 2006
JDW, Eastbourne. A very lagerish golden ale. Very clean with lager hops and a touch of citric. Apart from the citric pine notes this is like a standard pale lager.

RoyceH (1200) - Hesperange, LUXEMBOURG - NOV 23, 2006
Cask, The Criterion, St Andrews. Nice clear orangey gold colour, thin off-white head. Aroma is grassy, hoppy, some cinnamon and some toffee notes. Flavour is grassy notes, oranges, bags of hops. Biscuity notes. Dry at the end, but easy to drink. Not a fan of light ales, but this didn’t go down too badly.

leaparsons (10902) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - NOV 23, 2006
Cask, The Last Plantagenet, Leicester. Hazy orange/gold with a dense off-white head. Aromas are fresh and hoppy with spiced oranges, metal and some caramel. Flavours are fruity with slightly sour spiced oranges. Spritzy and slightly hoppy. Some floral notes.

chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 19, 2006
Cask (handpump) at GBBF, Day 2, August 2006. Blondish amber colour with a creamy head. A distinctly handsome beer. Light hop character in the flavour but nothing too distinctive (6/4/6/3/11 = 3.0). AND AGAIN - Cask (handpump), Penderels Oak (JDW), Holborn, London, October 2006. Gold colour with a decent white head. The aroma has a strangely toffee-ish element that was a bit odd for a pale beer. Otherwise citric. More citrus in the flavour. A fresh, crisp beer that drank nicely. Just a bit weird on the nose.

GarethYoung (1111) - Glasgow, SCOTLAND - NOV 11, 2006
[Cask at JDW] Buttery toffee nose, some citric hop notes. Medium body, sweet and toasted leads to dry finish.

Gr0ve (2176) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 7, 2006
1/2 pint cask, Thompsons, Edinburgh. Bright golden with a nice creamy white head. Nutty and caramel malts in the nose. Rich hoppy and nutty flavours. Surprisingly nutty, hazelnut-like. Smooth, but watery, mouthfeel. Very gentle flavours and the beer is soft. There is a nice crisp bitterness throughout, but mellows out in the finish.

Beer5000 (6865) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 27, 2006
Cask at Archibald Simpson, Aberdeen, ”The Full Moon Beer Festival” 20. October. Hazy golden colour with a tiny white head. Fruity aroma. Flavour is fresh, fruity cascade dominated with a modest bitterness. Short, dry finish. OK but not outstanding in any way.

hughie (3996) - Bedford, Bedfordshire, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2006
UPDATED: MAY 3, 2007 Cask at JDW, Bedford. Golden with a white head. Sweet fruit and hop aroma. Very sweet taste, perhaps of raspberry. Nice ending with a subtle dryness. A beer that improves as you drink it. Later (3.5.07) cask at Wetherspoons, MK. Horribly buttery, the taste dominating the fruit. Rated it only 2.1

MesandSim (7117) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - OCT 23, 2006
A Mes rate: Cask at Baker St. JDW. Standard stuff. Quite perfumed and just a little sweetness. Tried it all before.

Finn (8535) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 21, 2006
Cask/gravity at The St Albans Beer Festival 29 Sep 06. Golden coloured. A tiny head. Some fruity aroma. Sourish flavour. Dry bitter finish. OK - but average.
