Belgian amber ale. "She may be a little bitter, but she ’s still so sweet!," describes this hooker to a "T." Its bright whole-hop flavor is balanced perfectly with a smooth, malty backbone and notes of caramel and honey.

Pint on tap. Unfiltered, opaque caramel color with a lasting film of bubbles. Nose is Belgian Wit with big hoppy citrus and resin. Tastes of caramel and Juicy Fruit gum with a big dry finish of orange zest, grapefruit and resin. Light-medium body is dry and has low-medium carbonation. Slightly watery in a good, sessionable way. Looking at the previous ratings, I believe they’ve hopped this one up in recent days. Pretty much a Belgian-American pale, if not IPA. Best of the 6 beers I’ve had from this brewery.

Sampled at the brewery. It poured a clear amber color with an off-white head. The aroma was of caramel, toast, biscuit malts, spicy hops and fruity esters. The taste was of caramel, toast malts with moderate hops, medium bitterness and a dry finish. It had a medium body and carbonation.

They told me this is a hoppy American amber. well guess what, it’s brown. nose is bright citrus and some fruits with caramelly malts. Flavor is caramel, bread, grapefruit, lemons, bitter rind. Dry finish and gets somewhat tart. Pretty good brew.

Good beer. I liked it more as warmed just a bit. Not really an amber though. Color is copper and foggy. Not translucent at all. Nose is hoppy with aromas that must come from that Belgian yeast. Nice creaminess from the Belgian yeast also. Tastes only slightly malty. More lighter pale malts than darker roasty ones. Some orange and citrus notes. Decent beer.

It wa sold to me as a brown ale, but I think ambe is more correct. Copper, thin white head. Smells sweet, with lots of caramel and brown sugar. Taste is mostly caramel, with a little bit of yeasty sweetness thrown in.

On tap at 12th South Tap Room Nashville, TN. Pours a dark amber color with little lacing and almost no.head. taste is quite complex for an amber ale. Hints of sweet fruit and a very subtle Belgium yeast taste. Finish is satisfyingly bitter. I see this as beer that is.still waiting for that stellar brewed batch.

Growler… Murky caramel-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. The aromatics are mostly of caramel and fruit with a lightly spicy Belgian twist – dates, golden raisins and a hint of pecan praline. Medium-bodied and mildly creamy with timid carbonation. The Flavor is well-balanced – gently sweet, lightly bitter and faintly acidic. Fuzzy fruits and Belgian spices are highlights here. Fruity, mildly tangy, lightly bitter finish. Growler courtesy of illinismitty!
