COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We took the refinement out of the barrel and brought the funk from the farm. Using wild wine yeast strain straight from the vineyard and pomace straight from press, we infuse this sour ale with Dry Creek Valley zinfandel skins. Tart and jammy, juicy but dry. It starts fruit-forward with notes of bright red berries and finishes with wood spice and soft tannins. Blur the line between beer and wine.

Hops: Styrian Golding
Yeast: Wine yeast and Brett

Bottle share with my Brother-in-law. Aroma is mild funk, wine notes, light strawberries / raspberries. Taste is lightly sour with some dry tannic wine qualities. Nice funkiness but was hoping for some of the brighter fruit on this one.

Slightly cloudy pinkish pour. Pretty one nose and flavor of grapes. Maybe some oak. Quite sour flavor. Simple but tasty.

I'm not a wine drinker so I have no idea how closely this resembles wine, but as a stand alone sour this is pretty great. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

We took the refinement out of the barrel and brought the funk from the farm. Yes they did, the small and taste is definitely funky. Real barnyard. Which is not a flaw in some wines but was unexpected in this. It blurs the line between beer and wine. Congratulations you reinvented Kombucha.

Bottle from Final Gravity. Pours golden with a tiny off-white head and a berry aroma. There is a very tart berry flavor with a huge yeast presence. Much better than the Red Label Tart & Jammy.
