COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Originally brewed for the 100th Anniversary of our hometown, Walnut Creek. A hoppy pale ale that focuses on the lighter citrus characteristics of hops: think lemon and oro blanco rather than orange and grapefruit. The beer is fermented dry to restrain the caramel malt characteristics but it has enough alcohol to give some body. We were tired of drinking overly malty pale ales and didn’t want the higher abv of a true IPA, so we made Dub-C as an answer to that problem.

On tap at the Calicraft Taproom. It pours a clear yellow color with a white head. The aroma is potent with floral hops, light grapefruit, grass and hints of orange. Light pale malts. Nice. The flavor is dry and crisp. Great pale malt character. Floral bitterness with citrusy hop flavor. The bitterness is on the strong side, assertive, but not over the top. Smooth on the palate. Really crushable. I liked this one.
