Wobblies Wet Hop Ale is made with the original California Cluster hops that were grown in Pleasanton during 1850-1914. Named after the 1st international workers union the IWW or Wobblies as they were known, this group of people helped orchestrate the 1914 Hop Riots that burned down many of the hop fields and ended hop production in California.

Bomber from Whole Foods in Davis, CA..Pours amber gold with a white head. Light floral aroma over mild caramel. Full bodied. Flavor is fruity/earthy. Even spicy. Fruit on tongue edges? Bitter fruit? This is really flavorful, but only mildly burning. Excellent ale.

joeneugs (6372) - Livermore, California, USA - SEP 5, 2012
On tap at Beer Revolution. It pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma has some citrus, melon and a little earthy/grassiness. The flavor has some potent grass, pine and citrus with a strong earthy bitterness. You really feel the difference with the wet hopping in this beer in the mouthfeel. It leaves some sticky resins behind in the finish. Kind of weird, but good. Sort of like sucking on some fresh hop cones. If that’s your thing, then you’ll like this beer. No off flavors, it’s actually really well done, I’m just not a big fan of wet hop beers.

bb (10113) - Alamo, California, USA - SEP 5, 2012
Draft. Amber beer with a dark cream head. light citrus aroma. Grapefruit and pine flavor with spice and light caramel. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Grapefruit andpine lingers with spice and light darker malts.
