COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A full bodied German style ale. Light copper in color. Sweet and malty with a clean finish of a lager. Formulated with "Luther" Paul from Lakefront Brewery.
On tap at the brewery, pours a clear pale red with no head. No nose, taste is of wort, earthy, meh. Not their strongest offering.

On a side trip to New Holstein, had to stop in at the Roll Inn. Unfortunately they’re closed on Mondays, so my friend and I went to Cheers Bar down the street. This is a good alt. Nice color and flavor, with the copper color a nice touch.
Light copper color with a hint od garnet as well. Moderate off-white head. Aromas of toasted nuts and grains. Mild herbal scent as well. Flavors match well with the aromas, with lightly toasted malt, grain and nuts. Hints of herbs and dried weeds. A nice alt.
During second visit to Calumet brewery this year, this beer pours a clear golden reddish amber brew with a creamy off-white head that slowly dissolves to a off-white ring. Aroma of caramel multi-grain malt, a slight citrus peel scent and a touch of flowery hops. Taste is medium bodied, smooth, soft carbonation with a dry multi-grain flavor. Finish is soft, creamy with a dry bread aftertaste. Very light bitterness. The dry multi-grain flavor really stands out in this new brew from Calumet.
