Beerfest in Chilton. Decent. Yellow color, crisp, with some hops. Nice on a warm day.
Keg at the brewery, 8/20/16.Clear golden, thin fizzy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted bready malt. The taste is toasted bready malt, mild earthy hops. Medium bodied, decent balance. crossovert (12666) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - SEP 3, 2016
Draft. Golden pour, a basic bready kolsch, touch papery and oxidized not sure on the age of this particular batch of htis, seems a bit old. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - MAY 14, 2011
On tap at Rowlands Calumet Brewery. Straw yellow with a thin white head. Aroma is buttery with wheat and malt. Taste is overrun with diacetyl with some wheat and malt hiding in the background. Crisp finish and the worst of the beers I tried on this visit. nuplastikk (6220) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 9, 2010
Draft at Old Fashioned. Filtered orange tan. Thin head. Buttery, definitely susceptible to the Calumet diacetyl curse. Completely missing the mark, should embarrass the brewer. Grainy, buttery, nasty swill. madvike (3250) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - APR 7, 2010
Tap @ the Old Fashioned - Pours light amber with a small white head. Smells of sweet honey and light bread. Taste is hints of barley with some light mineral water and hay flavor. A bit of skunk on the end distracts a bit, but I could drink a growler of this stuff.

Fourth stop during Wisconsin Trip #2 and one of 11 brews offered at this small town brewpub at any time. Pours a pale golden orange/yellow, clear brew, with small white head foam visable quickly rising to the surface. The white head quickly fades to a small ring, but the ring lasts for a while. Aroma has sweet grain malt aroma with a hint of grassy hops. The taste is sweet, wheat malt with grassy hops and some yeast. Light bodied, clean cut and crisp with light carbonation. Orange-yellow body, light head. Nice balanced seemingly Czech/German fresh and clean hop taste. Light fruit notes and slight grain. Moderate sweetness, but overally, very balanced. Kolschs always seem to be the ones I don’t like. But this was a great beer to start off with at Calumet.
