COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Unfiltriertes bernsteinfarbenes Alebier

A good example of the Belgian style from this collaboration brew. Color is spot on, however, head was almost non-existant in my sample. Aroma has elements of caramel, toffee and spice. taste is also spot on for a Belgian, caramel and some spice. This is a really nice beer, and great for the colder months.

Bottled. Opalesquent amber body, medium sized off-white head. Fresh, fruity nose. Fruity aroma ruled by dried fruits and toffee underpainted by mild spices and alcohol. Tart, fruity and warming finish with toasted malt, mild hops and orange peel. Nice brew.

(bottle) pours a clear golden-amber colour with a frothy off-white head and some microscopic floaties. aroma of citrus fruits, caramel and raisins, chocolate muesli, grain and light perfume. flavour is mostly the same, with notes of dried fruits, a light bready yeastiness and a fitting medium sweetness. medium-bodied with average carbonation.

bottle, thanks to pivnizub! Hazy brownish colour, large off-white head. Malty nose, slightly fruity. Full-bodied, sticky malty base with hints of spices (cinnamon, nutmeg). Shy hops in the finish. Nice christmassy beer.

(swing top bottle) Cloudy, bright amber colour with a big and slightly tanned foamy head. Sweet and yeasty (cara-)malty aroma with spicy notes of cinnamon, ginger, pepper and vanilla, accompanied by citrus-fruity hops. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a smooth carbonation. Cara-malty and slightly yeasty taste with Christmas spicy notes like gingerbread and cinnamon, rounded up with a citric fruity hops-character; moderately sweet malty and slightly bitter hoppy and spicy finish with a calm alcoholic bite. Smells and tastes like the stronger version of the CB Brown Ale. 26.XII.10

Bgelverschluflasche: Hazy and amber, mid-sized creamy off-white head; sweet malty-fruity nose with a yeasty touch and a tinge of cinnamon; uniforme sweet flavour, almost full bodied, sticky; solid sweet-fruity finish, X-mas spices (cinnamon) detectable. Presumably a well crafted Ale, but too sweet for me......
