On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden amber with a thin white head. Softly floral, a touch of fruit and melon, a hint of cucumber. Medium bodied, soft acidity, lovely cucumber flavor coming through. Tart, hints of lemon, a bit more cucumber lingering through the finish. A touch of sweetness, grain, lemon, cucumber.

on tap at the source. vegetable taste. still its cucumber. kettle soured. a little lace. good souring. AdamChandler (5206) - Enfield, New Hampshire, USA - MAR 28, 2016
Cloudy golden yellow. Small head. Looks like watered down Gatorade. Smells like a lager with a light tropical essence. Lager with some wheat thrown in but very thin. Only a light sourness. Truthfully I’m getting pilesner with lemon zest

Draught at the brewery, 9/27/15.Ungstrup (38957) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 11, 2015
Lightly hazy pale gold with a tinge of copper. White head is medium-sized and slowly fades to cover.
Great lactic presentation in the nose, with fruitiness, lots of wheat and light minerality. Clean, not aggressive, but not underwhelming on the acidity either.
Snappy acids collect on the palate, with ample carbonation, a sparsely-malted texture with light wheat nuttiness, plentiful fruitiness and finishing softly lactic, crisp and quenching. Lovely stuff, as with most CBC beers and well to-style with nothing flashy going on.
Draft. A golden beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and straw. The flavor is acidic with notes of lacto, straw, and malt, leading to a tart finish.

On tap at CBC. Basically no aroma. Bready and sour taste, with an acidic finish. It’s alright. bu11zeye (13239) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - OCT 19, 2009
(Draught) Pours a lightly hazy straw body with a medium white head. Aroma of wheat, musty basement, delicate lemon, and grain. Flavor of grain, nicely tart lemon, wheat, and light grass with a dry finish. auerbrau (3206) - Ithaca, New York, USA - OCT 10, 2009
On tap at the brewpub. Straight, no syrup. Pours a opalescent translucent pale golden, with a crisp, clean
white rim. Unique tart green olive aroma. Distinctly olive-like,
that’s for sure. Flavor develops with kalamata olive bread. Very
bready, doughy, and yeasty. Some distinctly medicinal band-aid
character right up front. Foamy, seltzer quality. Acetate finish.
Not nearly tart enough for the style. Not much unboiled malt
character. Weak. Slightly stinging in the nose. This is a very
poor rendition. Hard to finish. chriso (7536) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 30, 2009
UPDATED: APR 8, 2010 On tap at CBC (250909). Authentic looking hazy straw/pale yellow colour. Aroma of sour mash dough. Just a whiff of something a bit chemical like drain cleaner too. Fairly sharp and lemony on the palate. Slight astringence on the finish. I know this is a rare style and all, and of interest for that reason, but I find it tough to get much more from Berliner Weisses other than a sharp, tart, refreshing character. I’m not sure there is really supposed to be much more than that. So, although this is certainly pretty close to style, it didn’t really hit the spot for me. Might have been different, of course, if it was my first beer of the day and I wanted something thirst quenching to knock back.

Draught at CBC. Hazy straw with a small ring of white lace. Nose of wheat, some very light tartness, olives. Nice, slightly tart flavor. Refreshing if nothing else.
