Tap at brewery. Pours clear amber. Aroma is caramel and toasted malts, pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon, and faint sweetbread. Flavor matches the aroma and is malt-forward with a semisweet profile with light spice and faint bitterness. Medium body.

Bottled 09/08/16. This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a ruddy burnt orange close to amber color. Thin finger’s worth of foamy white head started and clung nicely to the glass. Slight wispy in it’s lace. The aroma starts with the spices of allspice, light ginger, cinnamon and the cardamom (yeah, I swear I’m getting cardadmom, now where in the hell is that coming from?). Light pumpkin flesh as it warms. The flavor brings it all together nicely. Pumpkin fleshy sweetness punches some of the spices to balance decently.Light bready/somewhat pumpkin aftertaste. Sweet to pumpkin spiced finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a decent sessionability about it. Low riding carbonation. Spices don’t distract the harshness. Good all around feel. Overall, I say it was a pretty good pumpkin ale all around. It’s no Night Owl, but this’ll do.

Sent to me by Strykzone. Thanks Dave. I see I liked this better than you did. Pours copper with an off-white head. Nose of pumpkin pie spices. A hint of vanilla. Medium body. Flavor has cinnamon and nutmeg and of course pumpkin. Finishes with a lot of spice. Good.

Bomber. Copper with some cloudiness. A decent head. Pumpkin and pie spices in the aroma. First sip is very tart bitter hops. Is there a Pumpkin IPA style? Hops are very big for the style and could be reduced. Not really a fan.

Second bottle to finish off MNF. Orangey brown small head. Nose is light pumpkin, hint of spice, and barnyard. Tastes of nutmeg, caramel, light dough, some sugar pumpkin, touch of herbs. Medium bodied and smooth. All right.

From the 650 ml. bottle. 2015 batch. Orange-amber pour with long lasting off-white head. Decent clarity. The aroma is subdued with hints of pumpkin spice and sweet malts but nothing that jumps out at me. The body is about medium. The taste has some subtle pumpkin and yam characteristics but nothing that is overly explosive. Mild bitterness to finish.
