Murky, dull, no head. Some heather, floral, sweet and bland, just light florals, malts aren't hitting at all...just lifeless.

Bottle, big, fizzy white head rapidly died, beer is tawny amber. Aroma is bread dough, malt, spice, honey, spruce. Taste is lemon, berries, malt, slightly floral honey. Palate is light, carbonation a bit lively. This is nicely different. Pair it with flannel jammie’s, quiet winter nights and snoring dogs. fonefan (52351) - VestJylland, DENMARK - MAY 18, 2016

Deep amber with some light cherry hues and a beige head that is rocky, fairly large and well-retained.
Very odd (but not in a bad way) nose shows cotton candy, cherry, vanilla, some odd medicinal/peppery phenols (characteristic of heather) and light touches of honey, marmalade and caramel. Smells pretty good! But you certainly have to like gruits as there’s ALOT of floral notes. No alcohol, no flaws.
Flavor is very heathery, with a heavy earthiness that gets both tart, peppery and then sweet-and-sour. The lower than average attenuation (for CBC, meaning it’s just mid-dry) leaves light sugars to balance and a delicious cherry-vanilla note forms by combination of heather and malt. Soft texture with some oiliness and ample carbonation. The heather does leave a bit of a scratchy, almost stale popcorn-like flavor lingering (lightly) but that’s about the only detractor here.
Draft. An amber beer with a beige head. The aroma has notes of malt and caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, Heather, caramel, and straw, leading to a dry finish.
