Cask @ GBBF 2016. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty chocolate orange aroma. Roasted malty chocolate orange flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate and orange finish. Theydon_Bois (19510) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - JAN 21, 2017
Cask at GBBF ’16, day juan, 09/08/16.
Black with a decent tan cap.
Nose is as it says on the tin, Terrys chocolate orange, light hoppy back draft.
Taste comprises dark malts, chocoalte biscuit, lighter orange notes, earthy, light roast.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close.
Decent enough stout but perhaps lacking depth for 6.7% ABV. The_Osprey (7991) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - SEP 28, 2016
August 2016 - Cask handpull at GBBF 2016, as ’Moonshine Chocolate Orange Stout’, 6.7%. Opaque black with a small brown head. Aroma is potent perfume, dirty cheap perfume on someone in a grimy nightclub. Body is smooth with soft carbonation. Taste has the expected chocolate orange vibe but it’s more like a flowery potent orange perfume of some sort. Very floral, some soap. Potent, intense stuff. This one will slow down your session. Nice aspects but quite hard work. (3.2) MrTipple (4968) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 20, 2016
Intense bitter, dark chocolate, dry cacao, not getting much orange here. Hazy dark brown, small, frothy, beige head. Harsh bitter. Bitterness carries on relentlessly, bitter chocolate, medium duration and bodied. OK Stout, too bitter, feels slightly out of balance. Cask at GBBF16, Olympia. evergreen0199 (3369) - Northwood, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 15, 2016
Cask at GBBF 2016, Olympia, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a thin beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate aroma. Tastes quite similar, roasty, malty, chocolate, slight orange. It is OK but I expected a lot more from a 6.7% stout.

Dark, but almost no head. Nice mellow roasty aroma, dark, hinting at chocolate. Nice roasty body, but a bit flat in the body. Finish is long and roasty too. Suspect this wasn’t at peak condition.
Cask at GBBF 2014, 12/08/14. Pours a dark reddy brown with a tan head. Light, dark malt aroma with a light chocolate. Light to medium body, light carbonation. Light lemon, some light chocolate, a touch of coffee. It’s thin, not great. jjsint (3105) - Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - AUG 14, 2014
Cask at GBBF ’14. Dark, dark brown, khaki head. Lovely. The aroma is surprisingly slight. Coffee seems to dominate over any chocolate/citrus aromas which are present but don’t really assert themselves. Taste us a little bit better. Bittersweet chocolate competes with a fruity bitter/sour. Thinner palette than I expected. Right amount of natural carbonation. Very short finish. Good overall but I was expecting more considering the description and the ABV. There just needs to be a bit more of everything. Ferris (15275) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 12, 2014
Cask - Bittersweet chocolate and some roast malts. Jet black with a decent brown head. Dark roast and some dark fruit. No orange for me.
