Draught at the brewery, Spring/Summer, maybe 2012? 2011? Not sure.50belair (3697) - Florida, USA - JUL 20, 2014
Bright, maroon-burgundy body shows good clarity and a a small, violet-flecked beige head of moderate to low retention.
Good tart/spicy qualities are joined by light citrus-like acidity and touches of vanilla-honey from the base malts. Fruitiness is "dry" and not overdone. Good skin-like tannins and a white pepper-like character from the yeast/coriander interaction. No alcohol or flaw.
Tart, and with fine carbonation, high attenuation and a softly malted texture that balances the dryness and moderate plum-like acidity. Gets juicy, but not out-of-control so, with light earthy notes from the yeast and soft pepper on the finish. Crisp and drinkable and well-balanced.
On tap at the brewery. Clear medium amber pour with no real head. Hints if coriander in the nose. It helps when you don’t actually stick your beak straight into the beer. A snorkel would have helped at that point in time. Some dark fruit tartness with big malt notes. A hint of spices to keep things interesting. Average body and mouthfeel. swoopjones (7020) - Buffalo, New York, USA - JAN 24, 2013

Draft at the brew pub. 16 oz. tulip glass. Color is a purple hazy with an amber type hue. Take a guess at the nose? Yeah, fruity plum. Hints of yeast. Taste is very much how it tastes. Mouthfeel and body is light. The brewer says in his description that it has a effervescent feel, he was right! Very lively and fresh. Nice beer. On tap at CBC out on the patio. Served in a tulip glass. Comes in a bright red color with low head and carbonation. Aroma is slightly fruity. Flavor is well balanced, not sweet at all and not too tart. Delicious on a warm summer day. Light tartness lingers. Can taste the Belgian yeast also, which make this one special. Tap. Neat notes of juicy plums, touch of tart earthy cherries, spicy doughy Belgian ale with some pleasant juicy, slightly tart, dark pit fruit character. Nice. SuIIy (1984) - Burlington, Vermont, USA - SEP 18, 2009
Draft at red bones. Pours a deep opaque orangish color with a frothy, creamy off white head. Nose is fruity with some very nice sticky malt notes. Palate is ever so creamy with a tingly feel on the back of the throat. Flavors of toasty grains and the creaminess with a delayed plum note that tickles the throat upon swallowing.
