Barrel Aged Wild Pumpkin Porter. Pours a dark brown with a light brown head. smells funky with some notes of horse blanket. The flavor is mildly sour and very funky with some vinegar notes. No display of pumpkin, but chocolate and coffee dominate. dnstone (3485) - Kansas City, Missouri, USA - FEB 3, 2010
Smells farmhouse sainsony with a roasty finish. Deep brown color with a tan head. Slightly "squashy" and with light wood and roast flavors.

On tap at the 2009 Great Pumpkin Festival, Cambridge Brewing Company, Cambridge MA on 31 October 2009. Third beer of the festival and not a sniff of spice overkill yet. There is a whiff of cinnamon on this but the underlying beer itself is quite weighty so holds its own admirably. Almost black with a strong aroma of dark frits and creamy chocolate. The bourbon barrel also comes through on the nose but doesn’t dominate too much. Touches of vanilla from the new oak finish too. Rich and roasty on the palate with very prominent chewy fruit and restrained booze barrel character - almost like rum and raisin ice cream. The subtle tart, lactic noted emerge towards the end and linger into the finish, where the vanilla reappears, accompanied by a sprinkling of cocoa powder. Full, firm mouthfeel. Well balanced and admirably drinkable.

(Draught) Pours a dark brown body with a medium beige head. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, dark fruit, and pumpkin. Flavor of roasted malt, chocolate, plum, raisins, light sournesss, and pumpkin. riversideAK (6261) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - NOV 26, 2009
Tart yet spicy notes. Barrel is very noticeable and strong. Some light bretty funk peaks through. Dark brown almost black. Light roasted malts, lots of barrel. Tart with light spicy and tart finish. Dry funky brett notes. Interesting did not get much porter or spice, as the barrel and brett took the lead in this one.

Big dark porter with pumpkin flavor this was a killer brew. Roasty malt with slight vanilla this was a great beer for the day.
Black body with a broned head. Swirls of bourbon, sour mash, Brett., and roastiness in the nose. Quite the complex amalgamation of elements. Tart aroma and flavor, with understated roastiness. A wood-aged quality and oakiness break through on the palate, Vanillins soon emerge along with some unexpected permutations of flavor. Mysterious and enjoyable.
