Oct, 2013. JDW. Soft blandish malt with soap notes and some pepper (hah!) Some faint honey. And odd and unattractive beer. Beerhunter111 (22513) - P´Castle, GERMANY - APR 12, 2014
ContemplateBeer (2097) - Louisville, Kentucky, USA - APR 6, 2014
Aroma: Peppercorn to the fore; a little lemony; some cheesecloth- simple overall but pleasant. Appearance: Translucent honey gold with a billowy off-white head that dissipates into a whipped, foamy cap. Flavor: Peppercorn accompanied by a little honey sweetness underneath; honey gives way to a little lemon/light floral notes toward the finish. Palate: Medium body, thick texture, lively carbonation, lingering peppery finish. Overall: Actually quite enjoyed this; would be lovely with (not fried) fish, and I’d wager a nice, herbal pot roast with some goat cheese. wnoble (1251) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - FEB 22, 2014
Pours hazy orange from the bottle. This foamed out the top on the counter. Nose is earthy spice and light peppercorns as mentioned. Flavor is dry earthy and peppercorn comes out moderately. pretty good.

The aroma of flowers and copper are strong. A good tasting IPA but I do not detect any peppercorn. gunnfryd (15294) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 16, 2014
Golden colour with a white head. Aroma is peppar, malt, hop , fruit. Flavour is peppar, malt, hop, fruit, pine. Fun to taste this beer. shoulderbroken (4256) - Tokyo, JAPAN - JAN 7, 2014
Bottle at Hoppy Loft. Golden colour, clear, small white head. Aroma is lightly peppery, bit fruity, nice light graininess. Taste is good, pretty subtle black pepper, but it does linger and becomes more prominent as the rest fades. There’s other stuff there but I am struggling to pick it. Definite belgian feel, possibly with the body. Grainy bread. Good stuff. Maybe a bomber was too much but it makes me feel like I have eaten, so could be a good thing.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, moderate to heavy cedar - wood, peppery. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, peppery, wood, cedar, pale malt, sharp. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.
Light orange and hazy with a thin white head. Faint Belgian yeast aroma. A nice crisp spicules to the beer as the pepper and rye work together. Nice bitterness too from the hops. Not a lot of complexity from the Belgian yeast after the first scent but there is a lot going on with the pepper, with the heat seeming to build with each sip. A really nice beer that makes me wonder why peppercorn aren't a more common adjunct.
