Less hop aroma than the porter. Toasty maltiness, nicely balanced. Uninteresting.
Been drinking this for years and think the rating here is low. A very session able IPA that has the exact right level of hops to not make your face curl. It's too bad many people want an IPA that will make you pucker after drinking. Otherwise they would realize this is what they really wanted after all. Taster at brewpub. Pours light brown with a white head. Leaves trace lacing. Has some faint floral notes on the tongue. Kind of malty on the tongue. Finished clean. This ones a miss for me. thorongil2 (3567) - , Ontario, CANADA - APR 17, 2017
(Tap) clear, bright orange colour with a small beige head; aroma of honey, orange; balanced flavour with a long, light bitter finish trapped (3786) - New York, TURKEY - MAR 24, 2017
Draught @ th source. Faint malt aroma, high carbonation, small frothy off-white head, medium bitter citrusy taste, thin body, medium bitter finish. Smooth but lacking something in taste, possibly the hops. DSG (15403) - Tel Aviv, ISRAEL - FEB 22, 2017
[2/1/17] Draught at Cambridge Brewing Company in Cambridge. Golden. Grainy, citric and floral hops, rather dry, bitterish finish.

On tap: Hazy orange color. Fresh grapefruity hop resins, light caramel and biscuit malt flavor. Prickly carbonation, nice and refreshing. haukur (2124) - Kópavogur, ICELAND - SEP 13, 2016
tap. Draft at source. Some citrus notes, very crispy and grassy. Extremely dry finish. A bit too dry for the style. Somewhat unbalanced. Good in the sun though. wombat23 (2137) - Texas, USA - MAY 24, 2016
Draft at the source. Gold with a white head. Mildly fruity and hoppy aroma. Taste is light malt, citrus, and hints of pine with floral notes. Mild to moderately bitter finish. Decent. mathieuc (4000) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - APR 8, 2015
This rating is for the tap version, we also had the cask version at the brewpub which was superior to this one. Pours a clear golden with a small white head that leaves good lacing. On the nose I got something that ressembled tomatoes and it was really vegetal and grassy. Not too pleasing to say the least. Taste is bitter to a medium-high level and carries the same weird vegetal or maybe even vegetable flavors. Body was medium and so was carbonation. Lightly sticky. Overall this wasn’t a hit but the cask version was surprisingly good. If I find my notes I might come back and rerate. tom10101 (6297) - Quebec, CANADA - MAR 30, 2015
On tap and on cask @ Cambridge Brewing Co.
Appearance: Clear golden-orange with a small white head and little lacing. (3/5)
Aroma: Quite floral with spicy presence and honeyed notes. (5/10)
Taste: Quite floral and spicy with herbal notes, malt and light bitterness. (6/10)
Palate: Medium body. Moderate carbonation. Super floral finish with spicy and toasted notes. (3/5)
Overall: Too malty and spicy, unbalanced, not hoppy enough and not easy too drink pale ale. (11/20)
Cask version: The nose is a lot more hoppy with citrus. Taste is softer, the malt is more hidden and there’s nice floral features. Interesting mouthfeel, more fluffy and a lot less sticky. Easier to drink. More tasty. So much better than the regular version. Rating goes from 2.8 to 3.6
