I thought this beer was awesome. The heather and lavender meld perfectly into the malt. I love the floral aromas. Like everyone says, the carbonation works well with it, adding body to a soft beer. scraff (2125) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - MAY 31, 2007
Draft @ CBC - Aged in a Chardonnay Barrel - Light hazed amber, thin white fizzy head. Bold and complex aromas of tree bark, florals, lavender, juniper, and earth. Barrel is well done here as the soft white wine and oak notes emerge at room temp. Tastes as good as it smells with more herbal, floral, woodiness that sits on a soft white grape and oak finish. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish. Different, unique, and clearly well done... tiggmtl (4543) - East York, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 7, 2005
Thick sweet toasted malt and very floral, herbal and citrusy character in the aroma. Clear golden body with plenty of very visible, fine bubbled carbonation is topped with a generous, dense, white head that recedes slowly with some sudsy lacing. Floral and spicy character complements the pleasantly toasty malt base with plenty of sweet fruity esters. Medium light body with lively carbonation that stimulates the tongue. Extreme Beer Fest 2004: Cloudy orange color, with a small white head. Strong sweet earthy flowers in the aroma. Medium bodied, quick finish. The best un-hopped beer that I've ever had.

Art of Beer Festival 2004: Has a clouded orange/yellow color with a small white head. Smells of flowers/sweet. Taste is very smooth fruit/flower taste and finishes very smooth. Overall a good very easy drinking beer... BitchesBrew (716) - Fort Collins, Colorado, USA - SEP 1, 2007
[draught @ the brewpub] Barely hazy, medium amber color. Complex aroma, plenty of floral lavender and heather, some very toasty malts. Spicy fuggles provide a nice contrast to the floral elements. Sweet, toasty malt. Finishes with some remaining heather and a touch of wood/earth. Complex, yet very drinkable. Ungstrup (38383) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - AUG 9, 2008
Hand-bottled. A light amber beer with a thin white head. The aroma is very spicy with notes of nutmeg, heather, and lavender, as well as a slight acidity. The flavor is slighlty acidic with strong notes of spices; heather, lavender, and milfoil (rølikke), leading to a very dry finish. Rastacouere (6177) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - OCT 5, 2005
Hazy strawy amber colored, smallish off-white head. Convincing heather nose offers a plate of complementing flavours, floral, herbal and citrusy yet moreso from spices than from hops. In mouth, the fruitiness is lively, evoking litchi and apricots while the peppery spice blend rounds it out nicely. Juicy, balanced and refreshing gruit, that might gain from having a slightly fuller bodied. 1FastSTi (3360) - Glendale, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 2, 2006
GABF 2006. The beer pours to a yellowish gold body with a white head. Nice crisp floral aroma with lavendar, heather, nice light malt. The flavor is rich with lots of floral components. Sweet honey, lavendar, heather. Delicate. Very unique and definitely worth trying.
