Bottle, 22oz. A hazy, orange-golden beer topped by a small, dense, light beige to off-white head. The aroma is lightly spiced, with alcohol, white sugar and a generic fruityness and some pine cones. It’s full-bodied, effervescent and still soft, sweet in the flavor but still dry, and with a nice bitterness, a tad too much alcohol burn and a mostly fruity flavor. Some pine cones and spiced hints. Lasting fruity, sugary, spiced and bitter finish. A bit too warm this one, but nice anyway. 150610 bhensonb (15616) - Woodland, California, USA - SEP 12, 2013
Bomber from Whole Foods in Davis, CA. Pours hazy golden amber with a slight foamy white head. Aroma of light seeded fruit with some light stone fruit esters. A little candi. Lots of things here, but it suggests a tripel aroma. Med + body. It all coalesces into candi, mild touch of treacle, fruity esters. Malt too. But malt is not the hilite. Just when I think it’s going to finish sweet, the sugar drains away, and it suggests dry. There’s some phenolic aspects, but they are pretty covered by the candi and esters. Very enjoyable. djd07 (15342) - Houston, Texas, USA - NOV 19, 2012
