Pouring at the Saturday afternoon session of EBF. Pours a deep hazy brown to black with a thin beige head. Smells of sweet caramel and a brew day, full of rich malt and cracked grains, warm cereal, malty syrup. Beautiful. Tastes like it smells, like fresh thick wort, full of chewy malt and cereal. Sweet malt, caramel and roast on the finish. This may have been done as a joke (which according to the guys from the brewery who were pouring it) that only people who have ever brewed seemed to get, but it was well executed and quite tasty. But I think you’d be hard pressed to find anyone even amongst those who liked it, willing to drink a pint. Still cool.
