COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We’re brewing a special one-off beer for the summer. It’s a resurrection of a London Pale Ale recipe from 1908, the year of the first Olmpics in the city. Camden 1908 will be released on Friday 27 July at the Brewery Bar. It’s a limited release and there isn’t much of it, so get it while you can.

Hazy light to medium amber color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly to fully diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, caramel, keller, pale nuts, light to moderate hoppy, grass. Aroma is a bit young - green. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120803]

ChrisOs Marvellous Pre GBBF Mega Tasting. Hazy amber beer, little off white head. Airy dry palate, slightly soft. Mild biterness, dried fruits. Trace of bubblegum ester. Dry finish. Disappointingly dull.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours quite a hazy orange with a light, white cream head. Nose holds some tangerine and cat food...yep! Medium sweet flavor with plenty of citrus, pale malts and faint straw. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary pale malt finish with further citrus. Meh. It’s surprisingly sugary.

On tap at Camden Town Brewpub, London on 24th August 2012. Deep amber-orange; hazy body with offwhite lasting head. Lightly fruity, malty aromas. Liquid very fruity - citrus and berries, and touches of hazelnut, all at medium intensity. The finish is malty with some emerging bitterness. Zingy mouthfeel and medium body.

jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 18, 2012
Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. Pours light amber with a medium white head. The nose is lightly hoppy grass, some wood and mild caramel. The taste is much the same, caramel, some cardboard and notes of mild, restrained hops. Medium body, drinkable and polished. Overall, fine but a bit lifeless in my opinion...
