Opaque black beer, little pale tan head. Palate is a little crisp and quite dry. Minerals. Dry dark malt, a little roast, but not bitter. Tiny bit of citrus in the minerally semi dry and crisp finish. Not bad and I think my first Black Pils!
Keg at the brewery taproom. Pours clear, deep brown with a lasting, foamy beige head. The aroma holds nicely toasted biscuits and cereal, hints of roast and cocoa. Light-medium sweet flavor with moderate roast, some scorched earth bitterness, mild cocoa, dried fruits. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes a little dry and roasty with further earthy bitterness, burnt toast and biscuits, bittersweet chocolate. Solid.

On tap at The Brewery. Very dark brown beer. Lasting beige head. Hoppy dark lager. Hops jump out of the glass at you. Then some chocolate malt then more hops. Fresh tasty and lovely. Excellent. Scopey (15652) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - JUL 31, 2015
Keg at the brewery. It pours hazy deep brown with a thick tan head. The nose is earthy, rich roasts, toasted nuts, umami, dark chocolate and Rocky Road. The taste is smooth, bitter, earthy roast, coffee grounds, peppercorn, umami, salted liquorice, cocoa and some acidity with a dry, roast finish. Medium body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Good balance of flavours. A solid schwarz. Perhaps a bit dry, but enjoyable nonetheless. imdownthepub (15322) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - APR 12, 2015
Keg at The White Hart, Crystal Palace, London. Dark brown with cream head. Quite a sweetish, malty beer, there is a vegetable hint alongside a plummy fruitiness. Not a great deal of palate but enough. Reasonable.
