Self described as a hybrid marriage of Helles and Pilsner, this beer is similar to a German/Bavarian lager although not directly on style. The beer contains a noticeable nose and characteristic flavor of DMS, and lacks somewhat that Germanic malt seriousness that comes only from the painstaking labor of full decoction mashing. Lightly hopped, but adequate. Nonetheless, I’d say this beer is approachable, reasonably flavorful and frankly, better than most of the "stadium beers" that others seem to have compared it to. It is light colored, almost straw-pale (but duh, "helles" means light) as a 100% pilsner malt beer coming in at 4.6% abv. Trying to stay objective here, but it’s not bad. cglans (315) - - MAR 4, 2017

(Draught at King’s Arms, Bethnal Green, London, 25 Nov 2016) Pale golden colour with creamy, white head. Malty nose with notes of bread, cereal and hay. Malty taste with bread, grass, cereal, some vanilla and a gentle grassy bitterness. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Well made, but a bit generic. Enjoyable.
