Keg & Bottle;
Helles and Pilsner combine – the pale, crisp body of Pils with the gentle hop profile of Helles. It’s pale gold, refined, elegant and dry. Soft biscuity malt, a light lemony, peppery hop character and the sort of bitterness which quenches and never overpowers. Matured for a long time in tank, it’s how a great lager should taste.

330ml bottle. Pours clear amber with a good white head. Looks good in the glass. Mild aroma with a slight metallic tint. Some sweetness, flavours of banana and tropical fruits with a touch of citrus. Very short finish. Could do with more at the back, but pretty good for a lager.

Bottle. An easy drinking golden lager, with a touch of hop that just about took it above the ordinary. Ok.

Gyllengul med fint skum. mye høy. lett karamell og lett frukt både i smak og duft. Frisk og god, men med en liten bismak.

Draught @ Oskar Larsson etc. Nice pils with notes of flour, honey, a noble herbalness and some lime.

Salian (132) - Sale, Cheshire, ENGLAND - OCT 11, 2017
Decent lager, flavour of biscuit with a hoppy dry finish. Better than most big name pale lagers, a credible go-to at Manchester's Albert Hall.

Grumbo (3978) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - SEP 23, 2017
Can at The Beagle, Sproughton, Ipswich. Pours golden with an average sized frothy white head. Aroma is of hop, grass, citrus, malt and lightly toasted. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Light to medium body, slight oily and watery texture, average to soft carbonation. Not bad.

madnorwegian (254) - FRANCE - SEP 22, 2017
Solid and very pleasant lager. Nice cereal aromas and hoppy finish. Bright pale yellow color. Could drink this all day.

jasonbenali (242) - Kent, ENGLAND - SEP 21, 2017
Pours a pale yellow with a finger of clean white head and a touch of lacing. Aroma is hay, citrus and with light malts. Taste is quite sweet with some bitterness in a reasonable length finish for a lager. Decent enough lager with some nice malts in there, but nothing exciting. Their India Helles Lager is pretty decent though and actually much nearer a 'craft' lager whoever the owner these days...
