COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Camden Pale Ale Style: American-style Pale Ale ABV: 4.0% IBU: 40 Malt: Pale Ale, Cara, Munich and Wheat Hops: Cascade, Columbus, Amarillo, Centennial, Simcoe, Calypso and Citra (BOOM!) Available: 30 litre kegs and 330ml bottles The story: Inspired by outrageously hop-heavy American craft brews, we wanted to brew one of our own, only at a lower, massively-drinkable ABV. It’s our UK spin on an American classic. The taste: Punchy American hops throw out a big aroma of grapefruit, orange and tropical fruit. It’s a bright orange-gold colour. The body is subtle and clean and a golden platter for carrying the hops. The bitterness rolls in and then ends dry, making you thirsty for another gulp.

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2014 On the lager side of pale ale. Not bad but not much depth of flavour. Decent, not brilliant.

330ml can. Pours a pale gold with a orange hue and a white head. Aroma: citrus, grapefruit, mild pine notes. Mild aroma. Taste: citrus, grapefruit, pine, mild caramel malt. Thin bodied. Moderate carbonation. Mild bitterness. Easy to drink and definitely very sessionable, but does not have much flavour. Would happily drink this again, but won't rush to buy it.

12oz can, blue label, pours a clear dark gold with some ringing white head. Nose has some lemon and savory herbs, then dough, yeast, honey. Flavor is the same, toast with honey, dough, lemon, a little paper. Finishes dry.

UPDATED: SEP 29, 2017 Bottle from Sainsbos. Light, golden... pale, in fact. Fizzy with a bubbling froth. Aroma is fruity pine. Taste: crisp, bitter and tart. Grapefruit and hops rising.

Now available in cans so i picked some up. Citra hops out the wazooooo! Can says hopped on the boil and dry with citra (amongst others) and you can really tell. IPA fans take note!

UPDATED: SEP 2, 2017 Birthday bottle at home. Pours a little to fizzy for my usual liking. A yellowish amber in colour with zero head and lots of bubbles, perfectly clear. Smells yeasty, malty, lightly hopped and nettley. Very herbaceous and floral at first, but after the initial hop hit a very lovely malty, bready slightly yeasty flavour. This would be an excellent beer if it were slightly less carbonated!

Bottle from Sainsburys pours a clear golden colour with small white head. Aroma is grapefruit, tropical, slightly piney with a malt presence. Taste is clean and fresh, nicely balanced bitter and sweet with a medium lasting finish.

Can - clear golden with high carbonation and small white head. Strong citrus aroma, ok mouthfeel. Citrus taste with a bit of zing, but not a lot of retention, finish.
