Bottle at home... Deep brown... Thin tan lacing... Soft roast nose... Little thin... Soft toffee chocolate... Ok mile (4051) - Helsinki, FINLAND - SEP 8, 2013
Bottle. Very dark brown, small to average and fully diminishing light brown head. Moderate, malty - light oat and sweetish aroma, light roasted malt and some coffee. Body is medium, malty - some oat and sweetish flavor, light caramel and light roasted malt and some coffee. Finish is average, malty - light oat and sweetish, light caramel and light roasted malt with some coffee, light hoppyness. Sweetish porter with coffee and light roastiness - too sweet for me.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Don’t smell like owt, except maybe lager. Really good this. solid, hardened teak exterior, with a flare of booze. It’s like a magnificent Schwarzbier: great slippery mouthfeel and dark flavour wrapped accessibly inside a refreshing delivery mode. Rampage. LCBF. 1/3 pint. Dark brown, a little head. Smells very yeasty. Body is quite light with high carbonation, bit foamy in the mouth. Taste - a little sherry, maybe some coffee and liquorice. I don’t like the foamy body or the yeasty smell, but it’s OK overall. olio (10546) - Tampere, FINLAND - AUG 14, 2013

Pours pitch black color with a small beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, mild coffee notes and some dark fruit notes, faint vegetable notes on the background. Flavor of toasty malts, caramel, some yeast notes, cocoa and mild vegetables. Medium carbonation, mild bitter palate, sweetish finish. The mild off-flavors ruin otherwise a decent beer.
