330ml bottle. Deep reddish brown coulour with frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Minimally smoky, dark malty aroma, dry hoppy overtones. Taste is dark malty, minimally grainy, minimally smoky and roasty, hints of dark berries, chocolate. Somehow short-shipped, not fully developed. jmgreenuk (9459) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - AUG 3, 2013
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines, Birmingham. Poured a dark mahogany with a frothy tan head. The aroma is dry and malty, leading to a smooth medium bitter flavour with lots of roasted malt, a little dark chocolate and some spicy pepper on the super rich, creamy and smooth palate. A really awesome beer! deanso (10141) - Chiang Mai, THAILAND - AUG 3, 2013

Pours a very deep ruby with a brown head. Aroma of toasted malt, chocolate, liquorice. Full bodied with some initial sweetness from the malts nicely balanced with bitter burnt notes. Rich dark fruits and almost port flavours linger on the palate.

Appearance: Very dark brown body with a medium beige head that holds well. Excellent carbonation.
Taste: Chocolate ice-cream, coffee, dark fruits, toffee and roasted malt. No hint of its 7.0% ABV - very smooth and drinkable.
Palate: Thin to medium body with a slick, oily texture. Soft carbonation fizz.
Overall: Really well balanced and flavoursome. Incredibly drinkable for its strength.
Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; dark brown pour with big off white head, whispy smokey malt aroma, sweet roast malt taste, bitter some dark fruit vanilla, shoe leather delightful although I’d expect more from these two.
