jamestulloch (4423) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - JUL 21, 2013
Aroma: Wet hay, milk chocolate and herbs.

Appearance: Very dark brown body with a medium beige head that holds well. Excellent carbonation.

Taste: Chocolate ice-cream, coffee, dark fruits, toffee and roasted malt. No hint of its 7.0% ABV - very smooth and drinkable.

Palate: Thin to medium body with a slick, oily texture. Soft carbonation fizz.

Overall: Really well balanced and flavoursome. Incredibly drinkable for its strength.

330 ml bottle.
Pours a dark brown colour with a creamy white head. Aroma of roasted malts, licorice, cream and dark chocolate. Flavour of roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee, weak grainy notes and grass. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a slightly warming roasty finish. Well balanced, but could use a slightly heavier body.
