Deep brown-amber pour and a thin head. The aroma is softly smoky with a little bit of light fruit. Has a faint touch of smoke and some light bitterness. It's pretty nice. A light hand with the smoke and a solid balance. mabel (10011) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 15, 2017
[8973-20170114] Tap. Roasted smoked grains aroma. Clear, light brown cola brown body with a quick foamy off-white head. Bitter grainy eggshell flavour has a noticeable but light smoke. Medium body. Good, simple. (6/3/7/3/13) 3.2

Clear mahogany colour, small head. Mild charkuterie smoke aroma. Mid dry with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Some bread and caramel, distinct beechwood smoke. Fairly low bitterness. Really nice flavours, but needs polishing and malt depth. yespr (49173) - Copenhagen O, DENMARK - MAR 6, 2017
From tap. Pours amber to brown with a small off white head. Smoked. Meaty. Beechwood. Lingering malty and smoked. Subdued sweetness. Bitter and smoked far finish.

4oz sample from a flight. Dark brown brew with a thin creamy head. The nose has a little chocolate malt and smoke. Taste is roasty and chocolatey, caramel, light smoke. Overall, I wasn’t too impressed with this one, needed more smoke and less sweetness. markas101 (2546) - Ann Arbor, Michigan, USA - FEB 3, 2017
Tall can, Ann Arbor, MI via Mulmur. Clear dark amber. Smoked gouda aroma. Metallic caramel flavour. Balanced. Smoky finish. AleRider78 (1521) - Winchester, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 24, 2017
473ml tallboy from LCBO. Pours an average size frothy beige head and has a dark amber coppery appearance. Some sticky lacing. Subtle smokey aromas, light roasted malts, hints of vanilla. Flavours roasted barley malts, smokey, earthy and resin hops, some hints of dry fruit. Has a bit of a watery mouthfeel, but also a bit slick and oily. jercraigs (11166) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 20, 2017
2017-01-14. Dark amber brown body, modest beige head. 3+ Aroma is quite earthy and smokey. Muted sweet malt and caramel. Flavour is less prominently smokey but has moderate earthy smoke throughout, lightly sweet malt base, caramel accents. Average bodied palate, moderate carbonation. Decent despite not really being to my own tastes. 6/3/6/3/14 On tap at Crafty Coyote, Toronto/I> blankboy (7928) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 6, 2017
[Can (500ml)] Pours a deep dark amber-copper with a large semi-lasting frothy tan head. Nice aroma of smoke and caramel malt along with some light sugary sweetness. Flavour’s the same: Some caramel malt and light smoke, a bit sweet as well, and with just a hint of cocoa & coffee in the finish. Average to medium bodied. Surprisingly pretty good, I liked it.
