May 16, 2011 - on cask at Volo. Dark amber with a decent frothy off-white head. Mild aroma - leafy with a bit of cocoa - bitter but generic (7-). Taste is very, very bitter, acidicly so (7+). Slick, almost oily mouthfeel, astringent, mildly carbonated, extremely bitter, long and coating ... it got better by the bottom of the pint. garthicus (2929) - Dublin, IRELAND - OCT 17, 2011

[3739-20110515] Cask. Wispy cardboard bark hops aroma. Slightly hazy, amber orange body with no head. Toasted grainy bitter hops flavour has a muted chocolate powder resin note. Medium body is quite flat. Nice bitter balance, drinkable, but would like to feel more carbonation. (6/2+/8/3/15) 3.4

Cask at Volo, "3rd Annual Ontario Cask IPA Challenge". Pours a slightly hazy orange-copper with a small diminishing frothy white head. Aroma is a bit sweet, resiny and fruity -- quite nice! Flavour is also resiny and fruity along with sweet malt and a good, long bitter finish. Average to medium bodied. Pretty good, I enjoyed it. 3rd annual Ontario Cask IPA Challenge tasted blind. Deep amber-orange pour. Citrus and some light zestiness. Fairly unique hopping with a mixture of berryish fruit and light resin. Fruity and juicy with a lot of soft zest. Assertively bittered. Nice.

2011-05-14. Crisp dark orange amber body with a tiny frothy off-white head. 3+ Sweetish orange hops, mild leafy green hop character in the aroma. 7+ Similar flavour with sweet orange citrus hops, mild green leafy hops, mild sweet malt undercurrent. 7+ Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate. 3+ Could use just a little more oomph all around for my own tastes, but the hop flavours are quite pleasant.
