Pint at the Black Bull Haltwhistle. Not much aroma, gold body with a white head. Fruity flavour, but leaning more towards redcurrant and sweet apple than citrus. Some brioche-like bready sweetness. Clean palate, muted finish- in fact more of a petering out than a finish. Okay, but there’s a sense of a better lager trying to get out.

imdownthepub (14961) - Banbury, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - AUG 23, 2014
Cask conditioned at The Lamb & Flag, Oxford. Gold with white head. Light, grainy, thinly malted beer, there is a vague grassy note from a light hop, slight caramel notes. Thin finish, not that inspiring.

Cask at the Hope Tap (JDW), Reading. Pale gold with a small white head and a light fizz. Lemon up front then a little orange and caramel followed by a dry peppery finish. A bit thin perhaps, but pleasantly refreshing. Not bad, and fortunately not too lagery..

downender (8729) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - APR 16, 2014
On gravity at the Commercial Rooms (JDW), Bristol, March 2014. Pale gold with a decent, white, head. Sweetish lager malts, a hint of citrus and moderately bitter finish. Fine.
