Pretty much as black as stouts usually. Smell is a little bit smoky and somewhat coffee type aroma. Taste is mildly smoky, bit sweet and a bit bitter. Balance of hops and malts is good. Finish seems to be slick like a little oily. OK stout, but nothing super exceptional. gunnfryd (15330) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 21, 2011

Bottle. A clear, chestnut to dark brown beer with a small, beige head. Toffee, a hint of roasted malts, cocoa and butter cream, some dried fruits. Medium body, quite dry even though there’s some sweetness. Coffee-cocoa-butter cream, roasted malts and some raisins in the flavor. Roasted, buttery finish. Overall, not bad, but too buttery, not bad, but I can’t really imagine I’d want to finish a bottle. 101009 Geokkjer (7654) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - OCT 9, 2010
