Brix (660) - DENMARK - APR 16, 2010
Tasted 2010-04-16. Bottle. Pours dark brown - almost black - with light brown head. Aroma of cocoa, coffee, vanilla and brown sugar. Bitter sweet taste plus a hint off tobacco. Very sweet for this style. One might call it a girl stout, but it IS odd, how I - a man - like a girl stout so much.

FreshHawk (596) - Iowa City, Iowa, USA - MAR 15, 2010
Bottle. A - Dark cola black with ruby brown edges. Good sized tan/beige head with decent retention and a fair amount of lace left. S - A little faint but the smell is chocolaty with a hint of caramel. Also fairly prominent is a roasted malt smell. T - Good base of chocolate and roast malt. Also some caramel as well as a bit of coffee. A little bit of citrus, earthy and, bitterness from hops and a hint of medicinal taste finish the beer. Overall slightly sweet but not cloying. M - Medium starting to edge toward full body. Good carbonation. Pretty smooth. D - Good drinkability. Easy and smooth to drink with a number of flavors. Sweet and bitter balance out well. Notes: ABV = 4.4%. Pretty good milk/sweet stout that has a prominent chocolate/lactose taste but isn’t overly sweet. Nice beer to sip on for a while with a number of flavors on the tongue. Probably not the most memorable beer, but a tasty one.

50cl bottle. Pitch black body, persistant tan foam. Rich roasted aroma; milk chocolate, cocoa, liquorice, tar, burnt toffee, subtle smoke. Lean body, creamy/milky texture, quite high carbonation. Milk chocolate and mocha on the body. Toffee sweetness on a drying finish. Really tasty sweet stout.

Bottle. High creamy and lasting light brown head. Very dark red brown body. Sweet roasted malt with choccolate and caramel. Mild and relatively sweet roasted malt flavor with choccolate and caramel. Little hops bitterness. Low carbonation. Long sweet aftertaste. Quite tasty for a beer with such low alcohol contents.
