12 oz bottle shared by ebone1988. The pour is a nice darker black-ish color with a thicker off tan colored ring of head that leaves a bit of soapy lace. The aroma is full of smoke right up front. There is a scorched malt and a bit of rummy booze. There is a bit of a metallic finish. The flavor is much of the same. The smoke fades a little. The malt and chocolate work decently well and the rum finished a little strong and boozy. The mouth feel is a bit lighter medium bodied with a soft-ish carbonation and a lingeringly boozy finish. This is interesting and weird. 5 4 6 3 12

Bottle shared with koleminer20. Aroma is smoke, rum, roasted malt, dark chocolate, barrel. Appearance is dark brown, light tan head. Taste is smoke, rum, wood, roasted malt, dark chocolate, bitter. Mouthfeel is medium body, light carbonation, smoky roasted malt rum barrel aftertaste. Overall, it's a bit smokier than expected but mostly fine.

Bottiglia.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2018 Bottle via trade shared with Tmoney99 from notes. Pours a dark reddish brown color with a small beige head. The aroma and flavor have dark fruits, raisins, chocolate, light roast, a hint of coffee, rum, wood, biggest complaint is the thinner body, good.

Pours a large amount of frothy brownish head and has a nice deep black appearance. No light shining through. Gives off pretty good lacing. Rum aromas are almost immediately noticeable as well as some dark roasted malts, nuts and coffee. Alcohol is quite prominent in flavour. Huge chocolate and roasted malts flavours that leaves a nice impression. Has notes of coffee and caramel. Also resin hops. Warming sensation and slight bitterness. More of a slick, oily mouthfeel. Really good beer here.

Tap at Brody’s. Black with light tan head. Big sweet roasted chocolate malts, rum, tobacco. Sweet and moderate bitter. Full body and soft carbonation.

On tap at Brody’s. Dark burgundy-brown pour with a smooth and velvety tan head. Notes of licorice, wood, smoke, chocolate, roasted coffee, molasses, dust, light mould. Quite nice, though it feels a bit old. Can’t really identify the rum barrel, but there is definitely some kind of barrel going on.

Draft @ Brodys. Pours a pitch black beer with a nice, creamy brown head on top. Aroma has massive rum esters, some light milky chocolate and a mild roasty character. Flavor is a bit overpowered by the rum characters, lots of barrel notes, very sweet, cloying and soft in carbonation. Very cool beer to drink, but it kinda gets boring after a full glass. Still very nice though.
